I'm back!

I'm trying to get back to my normal life after the wedding, taking a little summer vacation, and an intense job search.  We recently received our wedding pictures back and I thought this would be a great way to get back into blogging!  Enjoy pictures of our Rehearsal Dinner today!

Habitat Find!

I LOVE to go to our local Habitat for Humanity Restore.  There are all kinds of fabulous things there from silver trays to fabulous chairs!  On Saturday afternoon I stopped in late afternoon and I could NOT believe what I saw.  I am trying to save money since we are about to have a wedding and many other large expenses, so I didn't purchase them at first. 

THEN I found out my tax return and I was like how could I not purchase a pair of awesome chairs at such a reasonable price.  Seriously... I would have paid at least triple to buy fabric and get them recovered to look like this so why not!  Sorry for the terrible picture quality I only had my cell phone at the time.

Techincal Difficulties...

I've been slack about my posts lately because my hard drive so wonderfully crashed last week!  I tried not to get too upset about it, but I did loose a lot of my design pictures so I'm somewhat starting from scratch.  The whole point of the blog was to organize all of the pictures that I had been collecting, but I'm dealing with it!  So I'll get right back on my blogging tomorrow!

Twin Thursday

I have a large collection of bedrooms decorated with twin beds.  So, I plan on posting a room a week.  Although I'm not a big fan of sleeping in twin beds I absolutely love them in rooms!  My family has a lake house and my fiance's family has a mountain house.  I have always thought that twin bedrooms would be lots of fun in guest bedrooms in a vacation house.  So... here we go... Twin Thursdays.

Close in the running of my favorite things are flowers (fresh cut and planted), fabrics, bags, and dabs of color in rooms!

New Fabric Love!

I went to a couple of our local fabric shops last week to try and find a dramatic fabric for a little side chair.  I was really hoping to find a coral or orange in a modern print.  Coral was no where to be found and all the oranges were boring NOT dramatic! 

Then I picked up a sample of a fabric I already have on the pillows on our couch. 

As I walked around with it I found my new fabric love!  Here is what I did with it...

I plan on making a skirted table or covering stools with the fabric in our new house! 

And I also saw that Emily Clark found the fabric on pillows at (where else... I would have never looked here...) Garden Ridge!  Really??
